Dimitrios Giannakopoulos was born in Athens in 1974. He attended the Campion School and studied Management in the United Kingdom.
He was integrated in the management of VIANEX Group in 2012. He is the Chairman and CEO since 2019. He has managed to sustain the Group’s growth despite adverse economic conditions on a national and international level.
Dimitrios Giannakopoulos also established DPG Group of Companies, which specialises in digital media and is currently a major player in the market. Dimitrios Giannakopoulos is also actively involved in other sectors, such as sports and tourism.
Despoina Giannakopoulou is a writer. She was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. Both her parents were prominent members of the Greek community in Cairo. She married and created her family in Greece.
She shared 45 years of happiness and prosperity with her late husband, Pavlos Giannakopoulos, founder of the biggest pharmaceutical company in Greece, VIANEX S.A., and owner of Panathinaikos B.C., which he managed to lead to the top among international sports clubs.
Her son, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, is the Chairman of VIANEX and successfully continues his father’s legacy, helping the company flourish in order to serve society. He is also the founder and owner of DPG Group of Companies, the largest Digital Media Group in Greece, which covers all aspects of modern life.
Despoina Giannakopoulou has written several books. She is fluent in English, French, and Arabic. Thus, she was able to enrich her knowledge by studying international literature on subjects pertinent to her own personal interests as well as the universal need to examine timeless issues and answer key questions. Some of her books include: “Horary Astrology - The Lost Keys”, “Traditional Astrology in Modern Times”, “Astrology & the Stock Market”, “Carmen Astrologicum”, “Sports Astrology”, “The Secrets of Horary Astrology”.
Konstantinos Panagoulias was born in Athens. He graduated from the German School of Athens and continued his studies in Germany.
He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering by the Technical University of Dortmund and completed a Master's on Management and Economics in the RWTH Aachen University.
He has worked in the pharmaceutical sector in VIANEX S.A. since 1998.
He serves as vice-president of VIANEX S.A.
He has been elected for three consecutive terms in the BoD of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies, holding the position of Deputy Chairman in charge of financial affairs and development policies.
He is an elected Board Member and treasurer in the European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE) and vice-president of the Athens Association of Commercial Agents & Brokers (AACAB).
He speaks English and German.
Doctor Antonios Avgerinos, retired Major General, was born in Serres. He graduated from school with honours. He studied Pharmacy in the University of Thessaloniki and graduated with honours.
Then, he continued his studies in “Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry” at the Chelsea College of the University of London. He was assistant to professor Arnold Beckett, who established anti-doping control in the Olympic Games. He completed a Master of Philosophy with honours at the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom, presenting a thesis entitled “Biopharmaceutical and Pharmacokinetic studies on some ibuprofen formulations”. He proceeded with a PhD in the School of Pharmacy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (“Controlled release in domethacin microspheres prepared by using an emulsion solvent-diffusion technique”) and was awarded his degree with honours.
He served as Director of the Pharmaceutical Corps in the Hellenic Army General Staff, Vice Director of the Medical Corps in the Hellenic Army General Staff, and Manager of the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas”. He established the Military Pharmaceutical Laboratories and he was the Director of the Laboratories for twenty years (1980-2000). He is a prolific writer and he has published over 60 original studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has participated in numerous international seminars, conferences, etc., while he also served as Chairman and Secretary-General in various scientific pharmaceutical associations. He was president of the Hellenic Red Cross from 2015 until 2018 and has been appointed to the same position once again from 2019 to date.
Margarita Thanou was born in Athens in 1983. She studied in the School of Law of the University of Athens and completed her Master's degree on private and public international law in the same School. She specialised in Fiscal Law in the Athens University of Economics and Business. She speaks English, French, German, and Spanish.
She is a Supreme Court lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2008. She has handled numerous civil, criminal, and administrative court cases, while she has also participated in international arbitrations.
From 2016 until 2021, she was the Director of Legal Services in DPG Group of Companies and Panathinaikos B.C. She has now been appointed Deputy Executive Director in the Group.
She loves to travel far to get closer to people.
Panagiotis Bomis was born in 1977. He serves as Deputy Executive Director in Giannakopoulos Group. Following his graduation from the London School of Journalism in 1997, he entered the Greek media and communication sector.
He held administrative positions in various companies and is a management executive in DPG Group of Companies since 2017. He was Secretary-General in Panathinaikos A.C. and has served as Secretary-General in the Online Publishers Association of Greece for the past four years.
Konstantinos P. Papanagiotou was born in Tripotamos, Kalavryta - Greece in 1947. After having pursued a successful professional career, he was selected and started working at VIANEX S.A as Sales Director in 1983, having established himself in this position.
In continuance to his excellent collaboration with Pavlos D. Giannakopoulos Foundation, he has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors since 2024, in order to be faithfully at the service of the ideals and values PGF stands for. Konstantinos P. Papanagiotou has been married since 1974 and has two sons.
