The "PGF" aims to support and promote sportsmanship, health, education, culture, environmental awareness, and sustainable development. These areas reflect Pavlos Giannakopoulos’s interests and the sectors in which he was distinguished throughout his life.
The "PGF" was established to carry on the social work of late Pavlos Giannakopoulos, who dedicated his life to selfless contribution. The “PGF” pledges to continue his legacy, embracing his values and honouring his memory, “to reward long-standing efforts across generations”.
The "PGF" addresses all Greek citizens. Vulnerable social groups, i.e. people with limited access to social aspects of life due to low income that does not cover bare necessities, as well as people affected by natural disasters, are prioritised over others. The "PGF" is also oriented towards Greek public and private organisations whose activities are related to health, education, culture, and the environment. It wishes to support these organisations mainly from a financial and cultural perspective.
The Foundation supports and promotes sports, health, education, culture, and the environment.
The "PGF" seeks to accomplish its mission through funding and donations, as well as through the seminars, conferences, events, lectures, exhibitions, competitions, and educational programmes it organises and implements.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors decides on donations and funding initiatives following a call for proposals issued for all interested parties, which is posted on the website (or at the Foundation’s headquarters). Each call for proposals specifies the necessary supporting documents, deadlines, and participation requirements for all potential beneficiaries. Vulnerable social groups, i.e. people with limited access to social aspects of life due to low income that does not cover bare necessities, as well as people affected by natural disasters, are prioritised over others. Interested parties may submit their proposal through the Foundation’s online form. BoD decisions will be posted on the website.
